To make things easy, your COMPUTER WORLD PC has already been set up to easily connect to the Internet. Just follow these easy steps and you will be surfing the World Wide Web in no time!

 

First we will create an account with COMPUTER WORLD then we will set up your computer to connect to the Internet.

 

 

 

 

STEP 1: To Start

 

Make sure everything is plugged in and turn on your computer.

 

On the main screen of your computer double click on the icon

that says Internet Explorer.

 

You will hear funny noises as your computer connects to the Internet. This will take a few moments.

 

 

 

 

STEP 2: Creating an account with Computer World

 

Fill in your address and contact details. After filling in each section, press ‘next’ on the bottom of the page to go to the next stage.

Choose which COMPUTER WORLD Plan you’d like and then choose a password at the bottom of the screen. (You need to type it in both boxes!)

Choose your COMPUTER WORLD email address. If it is not available the system will let you know and you will then have to choose another one.

Enter your credit card details and accept COMPUTER WORLD’s Terms and Conditions to proceed.

 

When you click I agree your credit card will be charged and your account created.

CONGRATULATIONS! Your COMPUTER WORLD account has been created!

Keep this page open and in front of you for the next and last step.

If for any reason we were unable to debit your credit card we will still create your account but it will not be activated. You should call our helpdesk on 1300 368 424 and arrange payment. The helpdesk can have you up and running in no time.

 

Please print this page and keep it handy, you will need to remember you Username and Password!

 

 

STEP 3: Configuring your Computer

 

Now that you have created your account, you need to configure your computer so that it uses your new COMPUTER WORLD Account.

 

There are three ways to do this:

 

1)     If you have a Windows Computer, you can download, save and run the COMPUTER WORLD.ins file on Signup Page #5 (see above). This will automatically change all your Internet settings and you will be ready to get on line!

 

2)     Alternatively, you can go to the support pages link where there are easy manual Instructions for you to follow!

 

3)     Or, you can contact our friendly staff at the COMPUTER WORLD Helpdesk and they can help you make the necessary changes.

 

 

 

How to connect to the Internet

 

Keep this page to show you how to connect to the Internet each day.

 

 

Find the icon called Internet Explorer on your computers main screen

and double click it. A new window will appear.

 

 

 

Type in your username and password then click connect.

 

Your computer will connect to the

Internet and you are ready to go!

 

You will only ever need to type your username and password the first time.
